High-quality 3D TPE car mats made of virgin material by integral injection molding can last 5–8 years under daily private vehicle use. With indoor parking and regular maintenance, the service life can be extended to 8–10 years. The material resists deformation and cracking under extreme temperature. Versions added with UV stabilizer effectively resist aging from sunlight, more durable than PVC and ordinary TPR mats.
Actual service life varies with working conditions. Frequent heavy use in ride-hailing cars, long-term outdoor exposure, or contact with winter road salt will accelerate material wear, reducing lifespan to 3–5 years. Economy mats made of recycled materials via vacuum forming have lower density. They are prone to abrasion, edge curling and aging discoloration, resulting in a shorter service cycle.
